CS part: New/Modify

Using this option, a new CS part can be defined resp. an existing one can be modified.

Slave: The cross-section part is not a physical part but a fictitious part describing the position of a so-called slave node with separate degrees of freedom. These DOF's are used in the case of a Finite Element analysis with using shell or volume elements for giving allowance to deformation of the cross-section.

SettingDescription
Part from First part in the series
Part to Last part in the series
Part step Step of the part series
Series Using the check button, the correction for the complete series or only for one part will be done

The check button is only in case of modification activated

Check button Part-type

Using the check button, the correction of part-type can be done:

Statical part Part will be considered as part of the structure in structural analysis

Weight area Part will be considered only with its weight, but not as a part of the structure

The check button is only in case of modification activated

Reduct.factor

Using the check button, the correction of the reduction factors can be done:

  • Red-Mx Reduction factor of the shear modulus for calculation of torsion moment Mx
  • Red-Qy Reduction factor of the shear modulus for calculation of shear force Qy
  • Red-Qz Reduction factor of the shear modulus for calculation of shear force Qz

The check button is only in case of modification activated

Info-Text

Using the check button, the correction of the information text can be done
